Guest Post on Life Lessons of a Military Wife: The German Dining Experience

Many times when reading reviews for German restaurants I see the same few complaints by tourists: “No one came to seat me. The food took too long to arrive. The waitress did not give me refills. We sat around waiting and were not given the check.” Generally, these aren’t flaws of the restaurant, but a misunderstanding of the culture. In “The German Dining Experience”, my second guest post on Life Lessons of a Military Wife, I take a look at why each of these things occurs. It is my hope that understanding why the German dining experience is different will help you embrace the differences rather than being disgruntled by them. Veteran Military Wife adds insights of her own at the end and invites readers to share their own tips on German dining. Please join us.
