ABC’s of Gratitude (Part of the Christmas Spectacular Blog Hop)

If you have a wishlist or related Christmas topic, click here and add your link on Toni’s post for today.

Today’s post for the third day of the Christmas Spectacular Blog Hop hosted by Toni at One Chocolate Box is supposed to be what’s on my Christmas wish list this year, but I actually don’t have one because I know what my husband plans on getting me, and I’ve already bought most of what I want/need lately from my allotment for A’s (I allow myself to spend $25 per A). So, I thought I would do an ABC of gratitude with things I’m thankful I already have instead. I even attempted to make it rhyme. Here we go:

Apollo, a min pin who likes to cuddle and keeps me entertained.
Books (more than I can count) to feed my brain
Canon camera from my husband that lets me take pictures everywhere
Desk waiting to be built so I can do some homework and writing there
Electrical outlets compatible with products from both America and Germany
Friends here and abroad, in real life and online, all dear to me
Germany as our location for at least a couple more years
Hearing…yep it’s good to be able to use my ears
Iphone for fancy features that help me be productive, or at least amuse myself.
Jung’s Memories, Dreams, and Reflections, a book on my to-read shelf
Keeping in touch with people thanks to technology
Link ups to meet other bloggers and spark creativity
MacBook Pro; it’s how I share what I have to say
New shoes that came in the mail the other day
Open Office, a free office program that has everything I need
Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Gir), the “good” dog of the two (mostly)
Quiet, which I get more often now that we’re not on floor one
Recipes I’ve been trying and will soon share with everyone
Slow cooker that has made cooking a little more enjoyable
Timothy, my husband, who has made my life more wonderful
UMUC-Europe which allows me to pursue an MA in counseling psychology
Victoria’s Secret yoga pants which are super comfy
Workout programs by Beachbody that help me stay on track.
XBox because it is much easier to play Borderlands2 on than my Mac
You for reading, commenting, and caring about what I have to say
Zippers for keeping my pants (that have them) up all day

That was fun (and for some reason so much easier than when I tried to come up with with one at Thanksgiving…go figure). If you have your own ABC of gratitude, holiday wishlist, or another holiday-related topic you’d like to share, head over to One Chocolate Box and add the link to your post on Toni’s post for today. Today is also the Grow Your Blog Link Up, so if you have less than 500 followers on your blog, check that out. Those who have less than 500 followers on a variety of social media including Bloglovin’, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google+ are also welcome to enter in any area you have less than 500 followers in.

  1. Such a cool idea for a post! I really need a good camera too. 🙂 My old one is broken and taking pictures with the phone is kind of annoying!

    • Thanks. Hopefully you can get one soon. It is really hard to take good photos with a phone even one with a decent camera. I like the camera I have, but one of these days I’d also like to get (and learn to use) a DSLR.

  2. Haha, that was entertaining 🙂 thank you Amanda!
